Government data and trademarks
"FMCSA," "SMS" (Safety Measurement System), "BASIC," and "CSA" (Compliance, Safety, Accountability) identify U.S.-government safety programs. We reference these names descriptively, to identify the public data and methodology we use. Their use here does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.
The underlying FMCSA data is public-domain U.S. government work. Viae LLC's computation, presentation, and analysis of that data are proprietary.
How percentiles are computed
Percentile rankings are independently computed by Viae LLC from publicly available FMCSA Safety Measurement System data using the published SMS Methodology. Because of differences in data timing, snapshot dates, or methodology version, our figures may differ from FMCSA's own published figures.
